Okay, this dress is amazing. The first thing that caught my attention was the color. Personally, I am in my comfort zone when dressed in a bright color. The second I saw this dress featured in this beautiful springy chartreuse green, I purchased the same fabric right away. I found this free tutorial via Merricks Art on how to create your pattern. I also found it very helpful to use the Penelope Peplum Top Pattern as a reference for the top half of the bodice front/ back and sleeve pattern. I changed the neckline but used the shoulder and armscye as a reference. (I featured this pattern in my previous post). I need to make at least five more of these for summer because this dress is so comfy and light. I put my dress to the test today while wearing it on a road trip, to a bridal shower, shopping, and walking through farmland and it passed the test with flying colors. I also love how comfortable it is while chasing my little girl around all day. Just trust me, you need this dress in your closet!
