I am so excited to add the Baby Lock Accomplish 2 sewing machine to my line up. In this post I will walk through why I chose this machine, all of it’s amazing features and a also share a discount code! Let’s get into it!
I am heading into my 5th year as a Baby Lock Ambassador, and I am still so happy with my Celebrate Serger and Brilliant sewing machine. I am thrilled to be adding a third Baby Lock machine to my crew.
Already owning a serger and a sewing machine, it was between two machines for me. A cover stitch machine or the Accomplish 2. In the end I chose the Accomplish 2 because its specializes in things my other machines can’t do and I don’t prefer to sew with knit fabrics very often so a cover stitch didn’t seem the right fit just yet.
Yesterday I spent the day unboxing my new Accomplish 2 and oh my goodnesssss, I am so excited about it. Let me tell you why! I’m sorry in advance if this feels like a lot of information all over the place, but there are so many exciting things to talk about when it comes to this machine, and I’m just barely getting to know her!

Designed with speed in mind, this machine can sew 1,500 stitches per minute! Wow!
I love that you can adjust the pressure of the machine to sew with specific projects in mind, especially bulky quilts or thick denim projects. You can also adjust it for sewing with lightweight fabrics.

This machine can only do one stitch- straight stitch! You can adjust the stitch length with the dial. I compare it a little do the industrial Juki machines almost, but much easier to store and operate. It has a metal frame and is pretty heavy.
It comes with 7 feet: Flex-reaction, Free-motion quilting, General purpose, Invisible zipper, Rolled hem, Zipper. I so excited to play with all these different feet options.

This machine has a bobbin case, so that makes it a little different from my Baby Lock Brilliant sewing machine. It’s easy to wind up and install.

One of my favorite features of the Accomplish 2 is it’s seam guide plate. It is tailor made for garment sewists, marking 1/4″, 1/2″ and 5/8″ super clearly. I know, most sewing machines have these guides as well but this one is simplified, basic and perfect for all my garment sewing needs.

The Accomplish 2 comes with a hands free presser foot lift, and very good sized quilt extension table, pictured below.

The automatic threading is another bonus. It is a little more intricate to thread this machine but totally doable with easy to follow instructions. It has just a few more steps than your average sewing machine.

It feels as if I get to custom set my machine for each project to get the perfect stitches and smoothest sewing experience. It takes a little trouble shooting to get it just right at first but the more you play around with it the easier it becomes. When in doubt, first try rethreading!
It comes with a thread guide bar, and allows for a normal spool of thread or a thread cone. This is amazing for bigger projects that require a lot of thread.

Another feature I’ve noticed while sewing on it is if I slow down the peddle speed when I come to stop, the last stitch goes in slow motion allowing you more time to see where that last stitch will end. This is great when sewing around corners or top stitching.
These are just a few of the amazing features it has to offer. I’m excited to continue to use it and understand everything it can do. This is a great machine for a garment sewist who wants a little more control over pressure foot pressure with different types of projects, faster sewing time, and more precision. It would also be amazing for a quilter, again for faster sewing, and more control over pressure when quilting big projects.
I have a 10% off code good for any of the Baby Lock machines I own, I really love them all. My code is “SAVE10-ASJ2” and can applied on the Baby Lock website. I know some people are a little nervous when it comes to shipping a sewing machine, but all of my Baby Lock sewing machiens have been shipped to me and I haven’t had any problems.
