Quilted Kindle Case + Free Pattern!

This post is sponsored by Baby Lock, but all opinions are my own.

Hi friends! I bought myself a Kindle Paperwhite 16 GB 2024 recently and I have been loving it. It goes everywhere with me! I purchased a hard case for it which I also love from Dear Reader Co., but I wanted to make a quilted case for it as well. I’m constantly throwing it my bag so I wanted another layer of protection for daily use and travel. So I did what any smart sewist would do… I made my own!

I’ve made a full tutorial for you all so you can make your own too! Even better, I created a PDF downloadable free pattern you can use as well. This is a great scrap busting project, I just used some fabric left over from past projects. I also think these would so so fun to make as a gift!

You can download the free PDF Kindle Case pattern here! When printing the pattern, make sure to print the pattern at 100% scale. Please let me know if you have any issues with it. I’m definitely no professional but I have tested it out myself.

You can download the free pattern below!

Supplies:

-I used my Baby Lock Accomplish 2 sewing machine for this whole project. All you need is any regular sewing machine.

-Scrap Fabric

-Batting

-Safety Pins for quilting

Hera Marker for quilting

Let’s jump into the tutorial!

Welcome to The Sara Project! This is my space for sharing all things sewing. I primarily focus on garment sewing in this space, with a few other fun things popping up here and there. Join me in pattern reviews and sewing tips! Happy sewing!

I’m Sara.

I’m just a girl who loves to sew! I studied clothing construction at BYU, and loved every minute of it. I started sewing my own wardrobe shortly after my second child was born back in 2015, and I haven’t looked back since. Sewing is my outlet for creativity, and mindfulness amidst the craziness of life and raising my 4 kiddos.
