Nita Wrap Skirt

Wrap skirts are HUGE this season! So I was thrilled to be chosen by Sew Diy to be a pattern tester for her Nita Wrap Skirt. It was a breeze to put together, and the instructions were very clear. I was inspired by this lovely skirt from Anthropologie. To get this look, I chose to do the midi length and tie version of this skirt and I chose a lightweight denim cotton from Joann’s for my fabric.

I added on my own embellishment to my waistband, tie and front edges. I was inspired by this denim wrap skirt by Free People. I also added top stitching all around the waistband and tie.

The Nita Wrap Skirt is perfect for spring! I’ll link the pattern here once it is available for purchase so you can whip one up for yourself!

Your skirt is gorgeous, Sara! I love the embellishment you added. I love the way you styled it, too. Now you’re making me want to wear a wrap skirt — which is something I never thought I’d say! Beautiful!

You are the sweetest Emi! I’ve got to say that wearing a wrap skirt is very difficult with two small children, but I still love it! Haha.

Hi Sara, I love your finished Nita Skirt! I was lucky enough to test the pattern too and it’s been really exciting to see how each tester has made it their own 🙂 And as a fellow Anthropologie fan – without the budget to shop there – it’s great to see how store bought clothes can be used as inspiration to make up something special and totally unique. So funny to read this and also the comments above about the Anthro love 🙂 I just made a kimono inspired by an Anthropologie Kimono that was ‘a little’ out of my budget 🙂 They just have such a nice clothing and style, my pinterest board about clothing inspiration is full of their garments 😉 Anyway, I really like your wrap skit, and these details on the ties with the stitching makes it so much more stylish, yet in a very subtle way. Really great!
